One Of My Mom’s Offices Back In 1986!
Maryellen was in the permanent hair removal and organic beauty industry for over 40 years. She started at the age of 19. At the time she was seeing an electrologist who decided to quit and go back to school to become a hairstylist.
Maryellen was pondering what to do about this and before you know it she was on her way to NYC for training in electrolysis!
She worked not far from the college she attended. The money she made in electrolysis put her through college. Once she graduated she found that she wanted to stick with electrolysis and not pursue her career in jewelry design.

This reminds me of a story my mom told me that happened in her waiting room when I was about 4 years old. I was looking at the magazines and playing house. Somehow I found scissors and was trying to cut off my brother’s beautiful blond curls! Luckily she caught me before too many curls landed on the floor! Even then I was interested in the beauty industry!
